No, Lhasa's have hair not fur. You do have to groom them regularly though because their hair just keeps growing. You can still have some allergies around them though. We have a Lhasa but he can't sleep in my sister's room because she gets a reaction. So, while they don't shed, they need up keep and you don't necessarily stay allergy free. They are great dogs though, so don't discredit them.
